I’m Abhinav Sai Tummapudi, a PhD student in Robotics at George Mason University and a Graduate Research Assistant with the Office of Research Computing (ORC).
My work sits at the intersection of robotics, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing. I focus on building end-to-end systems that move beyond theory — from gesture-controlled robotic platforms and human-robot interaction pipelines to production-scale GPU cluster monitoring and automation in Slurm-managed environments.
I enjoy translating research ideas into reliable, real-world systems, combining AI/ML, computer vision, embedded systems, and infrastructure-level tooling. Through my work at ORC, I’ve contributed to improving observability, efficiency, and usability of shared research computing resources, and I’ve presented this work at venues such as SC25.
I’m passionate about hands-on robotics, interdisciplinary research, and building systems that operate at scale. I’m always excited to collaborate on projects in robotics, AI, HPC systems, and human-centered technologies.
Full portfolio coming soon. Stay tuned for project updates!
